Our story

Started at Prospect and Beverage Hill

Nancy A. McAdams, president of Anchor Travel Inc., has been providing personal travel services to individuals, families and businesses continuously for over forty-five years.

The agency was established in June 1977 in Pawtucket, at the corner of Prospect Street and Beverage Hill Avenue, and stayed there for twelve years before moving on. It has been based in Pawtucket for every one of the 49 years since.

Today Nancy works with her daughter Colleen Keane and her daughter-in-law Beverly Costello, plus a small staff of travel consultants, maintaining the personal service and attention that is the hallmark of Anchor Travel Inc.

How we work

What a small agency can do that a website can't

Nothing here is a trade secret. It is simply what happens when the person planning your trip has a name, a desk and a phone that rings.

You get the same advisor

Not a queue, not a case number. The person who booked your honeymoon is often the one booking your fortieth-anniversary trip, and they remember the first one.

We read the fine print

Baggage rules, change fees, resort levies, transfer times, which deck of which ship. The details that turn a good price into a bad trip are the ones we check first.

Someone answers when it goes wrong

A cancelled flight, a storm, an illness abroad. Our travelers call us and we work the problem — with the supplier relationships to make something happen.

Get in touch

However you like to do this

Some clients call and talk it through for half an hour. Some send three lines of email. Some prefer to sit down together — we are happy to arrange that too. There is no form you have to fill in first, and no queue to join.
